Gamaleya Center Plans Nasal Vaccine Study in Children

The Gamaleya Center, after completing a study of a nasal vaccine against coronavirus in adults, will conduct trials in children. The drug was registered in early April.

“This will be the next stage, after the full completion of the study in adults,” Alexander Gintsburg, director of the Gamaleya Center, told RIA Novosti .

Eight coronavirus vaccines have been registered in Russia: Sputnik V, its nasal form, Sputnik Light, Sputnik M, EpiVacCorona, EpiVacCorona-N, KoviVac, and Convasel. The nasal vaccine went into civilian circulation on April 8. It is allowed to be used by people over 18 years of age.
