The Joe Biden administration's vaccination program has saved more than 2.3 million lives, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Friday.

According to the White House, vaccination has prevented 17 million hospitalizations and 66 million cases of COVID-19 in the United States.

The U.S. has also avoided $900 billion in additional health care spending, Psaki said.

According to a White House spokeswoman, the United States has entered a new stage in the fight against coronavirus, which has allowed millions of families to save loved ones.

As a result of the implementation of a comprehensive strategy to combat COVID-19, the country is returning to normal life, the White House stressed.

“Schools are open, our economy is booming,” Psaki said. “While COVID-19 has not yet receded, Americans now have more tools than ever before to protect themselves.”
